An electric folding pergola gives you a waterproof roof when the weather turns and open sky when it doesn’t. A motorised PVC roof glides along a powder-coated aluminium frame, made to measure for your space and supplied factory-direct.

A fixed patio roof gives you one setting: covered, all year. That’s what you want on a wet afternoon, but not on a mild winter morning when the sun should be reaching your living room. A shade sail or open pergola is the opposite: light and airy until the first shower sends everyone inside.
An electric folding pergola gives you both. Close the roof for shade and rain, fold it back against the wall for sun, and do it all from a remote. No winding, no ladder.
A quiet tubular motor opens and closes the roof at the press of a button. One multi-channel remote can run several roofs, the LED lights and optional wind screens.
A polyurethane belt with 14 embedded steel wires runs inside each side rail, so both sides move together and the roof runs straight every time. Rated for −20 °C to 80 °C.
850 g/m² polyester-reinforced PVC with a self-cleaning coating on both sides. Waterproof, flame-retardant, and 0% light transmission in lab testing for full shade.
Rain runs into a gutter built into the front beam and drains down inside a post. Rubber seals along the side rails stop water running over the edges. A 38 mm hole saw is included for the drain outlet.
6063 aluminium profiles, CNC-machined to your dimensions, with 304 stainless steel brackets and screws. Posts are 144 × 102 mm and rated for winds up to Beaufort Force 7.
Warm 3000K LED strips in waterproof silicone sleeves run along the crossbars, switched from the same remote. Shade by day, light by night.
Each module can be up to 5 m wide and 7 m out. Larger areas are covered by joining modules side by side.
Fixed to the house at the back with two posts at the front. The most common choice for patios and alfresco areas.
Four posts, no wall needed. Suits pool surrounds, garden seating areas and rooftops.
Angled tie rods carry the front from the wall above, leaving the ground completely clear. The pitch is adjustable.
Two roofs fall away from a centre beam to cover a wide freestanding area such as outdoor dining.
Curved rails give a softer profile on four posts, a good match for traditional homes and garden settings.
Spans a courtyard, side passage or light well between two walls, turning it into all-weather space.
Both fabrics are waterproof and fully shade the area underneath.
Tough and cost-effective, made by a leading Chinese mill. The best value for most homes.

Every electric folding pergola is made to your dimensions. Measure in millimetres and send us these five numbers:
Outside of one side rail to outside of the other. The gutter is about 90 mm wider than the roof, so order at least 90 mm less than the space between walls or obstacles. A 3000 mm opening takes a roof of 2910 mm or less.
The level distance from the wall to the front posts, not the length along the sloping rail. The finished rail runs 40 to 50 mm past this point.
Ground to the top of the frame at the wall. The wall bracket hole sits 16.5 mm below this.
Ground to the top of the rail at the front posts. This must be lower than the rear so rain runs to the gutter.
The height of the front posts, your headroom under the front beam. It is always 272 mm less than the front height.
When retracted, the fabric hangs about 190 to 220 mm below the frame at the wall end, so allow for it above doors and windows. Not sure? Contact us with your measurements and photos and we will help you get it right.

Yes. With the roof closed, rain runs down the PVC fabric into the front gutter and drains out through a post. Rubber seals along both side rails stop water running over the edges. The sides are open unless you add screens, so wind-driven rain can still blow in from the sides.
The pergola is rated for winds up to Beaufort Force 7 (around 50 to 61 km/h) with the roof extended. Retract the roof when stronger winds or storms are forecast. It isn’t designed for cyclonic regions.
The heavy PVC fabric is puncture- and tear-resistant, but the roof isn’t hail-rated. Like any fabric roof, it can be damaged by large hail, so we recommend retracting it when severe storms are forecast.
The motor needs a 240 V supply at the wall end of the pergola. In Australia, fixed wiring must be done by a licensed electrician, so allow for an electrician to connect the motor and any LED lighting.
The kit arrives with every profile cut to your dimensions, along with stainless brackets, fixings and a hole saw for the gutter drain. The frame must be securely fixed to a structurally sound wall and to footings or a slab. A handy owner with a helper can assemble it, or a local builder can install it from the kit. The power connection needs a licensed electrician.
Council approval requirements vary depending on local regulations, structure size and how close it is to your boundaries. Check with your local council before you order.
Every pergola is made to measure. A single module can be up to 5 m wide with a 7 m projection. For wider areas, modules are joined side by side and can be run from one remote.
Yes. Drop-down wind screens can be fitted between the front posts or at the sides, and run from the same remote as the roof. Mention it when you request your quote.
The motor has a two-year warranty. The standard heavyweight PVC fabric carries a 10-year warranty. Ask us for the warranty terms on the Sauleda fabric and frame finish.
